News channel Fox News’ morning show, Fox & Friends, made an on-air blunder while listing the political appearances at Charlie Kirk’s memorial this weekend.

Many political figures and mourners gathered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for Kirk’s memorial service on Sept. 21, just days after the Turning Point USA founder was tragically shot at his organization’s event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.

The morning following the memorial, which featured an emotional speech by Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, Fox & Friends co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, and Lawrence Jones reflected on the event.

However, Earhardt made a major mistake while listing off all of the people who spoke at the memorial. She started off by saying, “It is amazing how God used someone so young to fill that stadium. Millions of people in our country and around the world watched this memorial service yesterday.

“It was just about unwavering Christianity. His defense for the family and traditional values and the conservative movement. You saw Brandon Lake there on the stage, Christian singer, Lee Greenwood sang, Chris Tomlin sang How Great Is Our God, and a few others songs,” she continued.

Earhardt then made her on-air mistake when she claimed JFK Jr., who passed away in 1999 at the age of 38, was among those who spoke at the event.

She said, “You have the conservative figures from Turning Point USA, you had the president of Hillsdale College, who I just loved his speech, Dr. Larry Arnn. And then, you had political figures, Marco Rubio, you had JD Vance, JFK Jr. – RFK Jr., and Donald Trump and Don Jr, and Erika, and Erika’s speech was so moving.”

Erika will take over as CEO and Chair of the Board of Turning Point USA, fulfilling her husband’s desire for her to helm the organization should he pass away.

Pete Hegseth and Tucker Carlson were also among the speakers at the gathering, which showcased a patriotic service with attendees dressed in red, white, and blue.

“For Charlie, we will remember that it is better to stand on our feet defending the United States of America and defending the truth than it is to die on our knees,” Vance declared during his remarks.

“My friends, for Charlie, we must remember that he is a hero to the United States of America. And he is a martyr for the Christian faith.”

Erika, during her emotional remarks, said through tears that she forgives the individual accused of his murder. “My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life,” Erika stated. She continued, “I forgive him.”

Trump referred to Kirk as a “martyr for American freedom.” At one point, the president drew a contrast between Kirk’s advocacy for public discourse and his own political stance.

“He did not hate his opponents,” Trump stated. “That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponents. We will carry Charlie and Erika in our heart every single day, and fight that much harder because of what you did to us,” said Stephen Miller, the influential White House adviser, during his speech.

“You have no idea the dragon you have awakened. You have no idea how determined we will be to save this civilization, to save the West, to save the republic,” he added.
