“I just woke up, had my morning coffee, and I’ve been dumped.”
Love Island: All Stars viewers have reacted to tonight’s shock dumping, which saw one couple leave right after their morning coffee. As all the Islanders were relaxing in the morning sun, they received a surprise text informing them that the public had been voting for their favourite couple, with Lucinda and Sean coming out on top.
The Islanders were then told that Helena and Carrington had received the least amount of votes, and they would be packing their bags and leaving the villa immediately.
The result came as a shock to the other couples after Helena and Carrington won last night’s game of Knowing Me, Knowing You.
A tearful Helena packed her bags with the girls and jokingly told Belle: “There’s no one I’d rather be in a triangle with.”
Following their exit, the pair were met by host Maya Jama, with Helena saying: “I just woke up, had my morning coffee, and I’ve been dumped.”
Speaking about her romance with Carrington, Helena added: “I feel like it was a bit rocky at first. He binned me off, and then I binned him off, and now we’re on a good path.”
Helena also spoke about what fans have dubbed her “redemption arc”, with the Islander saying she opened up more this time around.
“This time, I’ve been more emotional, I’ve cried when I felt like I needed to cry. It’s not ‘Hideaway Helena’ anymore its ‘vulnerable Helena’.”
On Instagram, fans reacted with shock to the surprise dumping, with one viewer commenting: “Hello UK public are you ok???? What??”
Another added: “Helena’s been an absolute star this season. What a comeback. Gutted she’s not there for the last week.” While a third wrote: “Helena didn’t deserve that.”
One fan simply added: “Wrong couple went!!”
On X, viewers had a similar reaction, with one fan writing: “I’m actually gutted that Helena and Carrington have left. I loved the new Helena, I feel like we saw the real her this time.
“That fact that they both clocked exactly what was going on says it all about them both. I hope they both do great.”
Another added: “Thank you Carrington and Helena, redemption arcs are set in place and sealed. You will be missed.”
With Helena and Carrington gone, there are now just seven couples left ahead of the 2026 final, which takes place next Monday (23 February).
Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
