Cora Schumacher had quite the visceral reaction after her divorce from Ralf Schumacher, who is set to get hitched again.

Ralf Schumacher’s ex-wife Cora Schumacher has sent her well wishes for his impending nuptials with partner Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne. The former Formula One star – who is the younger brother of racing icon Michael Schumacher – was married to Cora between 2001 and 2015.

The couple share a son, David, 24, but divorced over a decade ago. Ralf, 50, revealed in 2024 that he was in a same-sex relationship with Etienne. Now less than two years since he came out as gay, Ralf is set to get married again to his partner, who is 14 years his junior.

According to German outlet Bild, he is currently planning a three-day wedding in Saint-Tropez in May. Despite the hostility that has existed between Ralf and Cora since their split, which resulted in her burning her wedding dress and blocking his number, tensions seem to have thawed after she wished the couple a happy life.

Speaking to Bild, Cora said: “[My partner] Steven and I wish Ralf and Etienne all the best and much happiness.” The 49-year-old is referring to her new partner, Steven Bo Bekendam, who is a 44-year-old American. During Ralf’s 10-year racing career in F1, he competed for Jordan, Williams and Toyota and earned six race wins and 27 podiums.

Ralf, who retired in 2007, is believed to spend much of his time residing in the south of France with Etienne. While he’s remained part of the media landscape, not much news continues to be filtered through regarding the medical condition of his older brother Michael.

The seven-time world champion suffered a traumatic brain injury in a skiing accident in December 2013 and has not been seen in public since. Recent reports state the 57-year-old is no longer bedridden and is transported around his estate in a wheelchair by his nursing staff, who provide the German with around-the-clock care.

His privacy is staunchly protected by wife Corinna, who only allows a handful of people to visit him. However, Ralf hinted that his relationship with his brother’s family may have drifted apart.

Speaking to Bunte in 2023, he said: “Unfortunately, sometimes life isn’t fair. We have to accept it. When I see [Michael’s daughter] Gina-Maria and [his son] Mick, my heart smiles. If someone in the family is looking for my advice, I’m there. They go their own way.”
