As Carrie Underwood prepares to host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest in Times Square, some people on social media are taking note of her changing face.

After the 41-year-old country singer shared a video with her 13.2 million Instagram followers announcing that she’s performing right before the ball drops, some commenters accused her of getting plastic surgery.

‘Quit the plastic surgery already. Sold soul,’ one angry commenter accused.

The Before He Cheats songstress shared an Instagram Carousel with pictures from her New Year’s Eve appearances over the years.

‘Looking back on some @RockinEve memories from 2015 and 2007 before I bring in 2025 with a live performance right before midnight in Times Square – tune in New Year’s Eve at 8/7c on @ABC!’ the American Idol winner wrote.

‘How much surgery has she had since then?’ one commenter questioned, as another wrote, ‘way too much.’

Carrie’s followers were quick to come to her defense, with one responding, ‘What does that have to do with any of this, why even mention that? Why a rude and unnecessary thing to say.

‘She looks amazing! Some people are just naturally beautiful,’ another one of her fans – once called Carrie’s Care Bears – weighed in.

This is far from the first time the Somethin’ Bad singer has been accused of undergoing surgery, especially after sharing snaps with her Instagram followers.

When she posted a selfie on December 3, commenters quickly questioned why she looked different.

Some attributed the evolution to heavy makeup, with one writing, ‘Carrie is beautiful all natural she doesn’t need all that makeup on her. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out with an amazing voice.’

‘I’m not a hater. I know she had surgery when she fell, but what is going on? You are already pretty, most women would like you others just age gracefully.

Carrie previously opened up about undergoing surgery after a nasty fall on the steps of her home in Nashville in late 2017 while walking her dogs late at night.

After the accident, which resulted in 40 stitches in her face and a broken wrist, the Oklahoma-born singer admitted she felt forced to speak out to avoid being accused of having plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons.

‘I feel like I do [look different] a little bit. My biggest worry at the time was like, if I say nothing then later on… I feel like people are gonna say, “What has she done to herself electively?” And it definitely was not a choice. I feel close to myself. I feel pretty close to normal,’ Carrie said during a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres show in 2018.

The mom of two, who spent months after her operation hiding her face from the public, explained that the damage was worse than she originally thought.
