Meghan Markle has shared a new picture of herself in a huge garden with key details reflecting on her relationship with her husband, Prince Harry. On September 24, the Duchess of Sussex uploaded a picture of her gazing out onto her large garden in Montecito, with her two dogs, black lab Pula and beagle Mia.

Meghan captioned the picture: “Crisp air, blue skies, and the sweetest moments.” The photo featured two palm trees that connect at their base, which is a meaningful symbol for Meghan.

In a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan shared how the trees caught her and Prince Harry’s eye when they first toured the house. Meghan said: “One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees. See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us.’”

Mia, the dog who also features in the photo, became the couple’s third dog at the time, alongside Pula and Meghan’s previous rescue beagle, Guy, who died in January 2025.

The dog, whose full name is “Mamma Mia,” was adopted by Meghan and Prince Harry in 2022. She was rescued from a breeding and research lab in Virginia by the Beagle Freedom Project.

Meghan’s dress in the image, appears to be the same dress Meghan wore in a previous picture to promote her brand in an earlier post. The Duchess of Sussex, posted a photograph of herself on a garden swing to celebrate the brand’s second product launch in June.

Meghan wore the same yellow long dress with puff-sleeves and was barefoot as she was captured mid-swing.

The new post is also a nod to the As Ever logo, which is a palm tree with two humming birds on either side. Meghan Markle rebranded her lifestyle company from American Riviera Orchard to As Ever in February 2025, featuring the logo. The palm tree symbolises their home in Montecito, California, while the hummingbirds are a reference to Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, and his love for birds.

In his bombshell memoir, Spare, Harry shared an anecdote about finding a hummingbird in his house after the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Prince reflected on how the bird is interpreted as a symbol of spirits in some cultures.

He wrote: “I had a devil of a time guiding it out, and the thought occurred that maybe we should start shutting the doors, despite those heavenly ocean breezes. Then a mate said: Could be a sign, you know? … Visitors, as it were. Aztecs thought them reincarnated warriors. Spanish explorers called them ‘resurrection birds.’”
