A devoted follower of Meghan Markle is considering legal action against the Duchess, seeking £8million ($10million) in damages after allegedly sustaining “catastrophic burns” from a homemade bath salt recipe showcased on Meghan’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
Maryland resident and diabetic Robin Patrick claims she suffered severe injuries following the use of a bath salt mixture similar to one Meghan crafted as a wellness present for makeup artist Daniel Martin. The concoction consisted of Epsom salt, Himalayan salt, arnica oil, and lavender oil.
However, Robin alleges it caused her excruciating ulcers, blistered skin, and fears of grave health repercussions.
In a conversation with RadarOnline.com, Patrick recounted: “Initially, I experienced a mild tingling sensation without discomfort. However, as the water level rose to cover my legs and reached my buttocks, I began to feel burning and significant discomfort in those areas. I immediately exited the tub, stopped the water, and later stirred the bathwater with my right hand and arm to assess the mixture. This resulted in additional burning sensations on my hand and arm. After draining the tub, I applied Gold Bond lotion, which provided no relief followed by lidocaine sprays which temporarily alleviated the pain.
“That evening, while showering, I experienced intense burning as water contacted the affected areas, which had developed into ulcers.”, reports the Express.

Patrick recounts the lasting impacts of her encounter with bath salts, detailing that “the burns are still not healed and are quite uncomfortable,” with other areas “just sore as heck to touch.”
She conveys a harrowing ordeal of “persistent burning, discomfort, and the emergence of new blister-like sores and ulcers daily,” which have upended her daily life—preventing her from indulging in warm showers or wearing clothes over sensitive areas
Battling an autoimmune disease and compromised immunity, on top of dealing with diabetes-related dryness, Patrick voices grave concerns about infection, sep sis, or worse, noting “the pain feels as though it is burning from within.”
Patrick explains she took Meghan’s advice after watching a clip of her show on X, utilizing available household ingredients. She expresses her openness for a financial settlement to avoid taking legal action.

The written complaint addressed to the Duchess, Netflix, and Archewell Productions outlines severe allegations of “emotional distress, potential post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), loss of confidence in appearance, disfigurement, shortened life expectancy, and long-term medical care for injuries that may worsen over time.”
For her suffering and future medical needs, Patrick is demanding at least £60,000 ($75,000) and is calling for hefty punitive damages of £8 million ($10 million) to discourage such negligent behavior in the future.
Cameron Stracher, legal counsel for Meghan, delivered a stern rebuttal in the form of a legal missive.

His retort stated: “The use of Epsom salts is contraindicated for individuals with diabetes except on the advice of a physician. As your letter recognizes, a duty of care requires a ‘foreseeable’ injury.”
He continued, pointing out: “It was not foreseeable that you would disregard the instructions on the Epsom salt packaging in attempting to make and use your own bath salts
tracher concluded, emphasizing: “For this separate reason, there can be no negligence claim against anyone involved in the production or distribution of the series.”
