A dance video of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has sparked intrigue, with a body language expert says there’s more beneath the surface than meets the eye.

A body language expert has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest dance video reveals far more than what is immediately apparent. The black-and-white clip, shared by the 44-year-old former actress on social media over the weekend, shows the couple dancing barefoot on the immaculately manicured lawn of their multi-million-dollar Montecito estate.

At one point in the video, reports Sky News Australia, which Meghan claims was filmed by their four-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, Harry places a hand on his wife’s waist before playfully grabbing her behind. “When 2026 feels just like 2016….you had to be there. Cred: our daughter,” the Duchess of Sussex wrote in the caption.

After closely analysing the footage, Traci Brown claimed in the report the 41-year-old prince “isn’t as excited or engaged” as his wife. “To start, they’re on really different pages. He’s (Harry’s) looking away as she moves towards him, very excited, with her hands in the air,” Brown told RadarOnline.

She added: “You can tell how excited someone is by how high their hands are. And this is as excited as you can get.”

Harry warms up as dance continues

While Brown stated that Harry does eventually reach for Meghan, it’s not nearly as excited, and his feet remain still. According to Brown, Harry eventually begins to warm up as the dance continues- a routine the couple reportedly performed at their 2018 wedding.

By pulling Meghan in with “no daylight” between them, Brown said it was clear “they are close.”

However, the body language expert also pointed out what she described as a “notable jump cut” in the clip, suggesting the video may have been edited. “There is a cut in the video, so something went wrong in there that they don’t want us to see,” Brown said.

The analyst also questioned Meghan’s claim that their four-year-old daughter filmed the footage, noting how flawlessly framed and steady the video appears. She suggested the only way Lilibet could have captured the clip was if the couple placed her “behind the camera on a gimbal that was set to follow them.”

Either way, Brown said Lilibet certainly “wasn’t in charge.”

Social media users divided over authenticity

That scepticism has been echoed online, with many social media users doubting the claim. “Lol my son who i think is of similar age to Lilibet would have probably recorded the grass only. No way would he hold a camera this still,” one Reddit user wrote.

“Impressive job for a 4-year-old, very cute,” another added.

A third commenter sarcastically questioned the authenticity of the moment. “Looks extremely organic and not at all planned… If this was genuine we’d be looking at a weird angle and the kid would have dropped the phone to go chase a butterfly half way through,” they said.

“No issue with her putting the post up, it’s just the lie about its source which is weird.”

Others, however, came to Meghan’s defence: “Just an FYI my small kids can record videos like this because the cameras are easy to use,” one user wrote.

Another added: “Kids these days are built different.”
