mafs australia Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic

They’re one of the last remaining MAFS Australia couples from series 12

They were the MAFS Australia couple from last year (aka series 12) that we always thought would last and we’re pleased to say that we were right about Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic.

The MAFS stars hit it off even before the experiment as we learnt on their wedding day when – before she’d even made it down the aisle – Jeff said, ‘Hey Rhi.’

It was followed by a ‘Hey Jeff’ and it soon dawned on all their guests that they’d previously met. Turns out, Jeff and Rhi actually dated before the experiment but things ended after a few weeks.

‘When I walked down the aisle and Jeff turned around I was like, “What the hell? I know him.”

‘We dated for a month last year and luckily we ended on really good terms, we both had just come out of relationships and I think we’re very similar in the fact that we both are glass half full types of people.

‘We really just took it on and went with it,’ she told Channel Nine.

The MAFS 2025 bride went on to say, ‘I was really shocked but I was also pleasantly surprised because we were instantly comfortable around each other. We didn’t have to build that relationship with small talk.’

Jeff added, ‘Me and Rhi dated for about four or five weeks last year. She’d just come out of a long term relationship, I came out of a relationship and the timing wasn’t quite right.

‘We had a conversation about us going our separate ways. It was very grown up, very mature and very mutual which is important because if it wasn’t a mutual separation then it would have been hard in this experiment.’

Luckily, Jeff and Rhi gave their relationship a good go on the show and despite their challenge of trying to get out of the friend zone early on in the experiment, they were always one of the strongest of couples.

So it came as no surprise that they both admitted they’d fallen in love on the show and vowed to stay together during their final vows.

However, fast forward a year and now that MAFS 2026 is on TV it’s left us wondering what Jeff and Rhi are up to and the good news is, they’re still loved up.

Confirming that they were still together (even after the show ended) they wrote in a joint Instagram post, ‘Thank you all for the incredible love and support throughout our journey!

‘We’re beyond grateful for the friendships we’ve made, the memories we’ve shared, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.

‘It’s been a whirlwind of hard work, growth, and unforgettable moments and we still can’t quite believe how far we’ve come and are SO excited for this next chapter together! Thank you to @mafs &  @channel9 for bringing us back together 🤍.’

Not only have they moved in together and gone on lots of holidays, but Rhi has also revealed the reason they’ve managed to make their relationship work outside the show…

‘It helps that Jeff and I are really like-minded people,’ she told The House of Wellness.

‘We’re both patient, understanding and communicate well, and I think that’s what real love is really built on.’

Rhi and Jeff are one of the last remaining couples from series 12 that are still together. While Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice are set to get married FOR REAL in April 2026, they weren’t paired together on the experiment – they recoupled outside the show.
