Just when fans thought his post-Idol chapter couldn’t get more exciting, John Foster pulls off another stunner — he’s officially joining the Boots on the Bayou music festival lineup! The announcement dropped like a bombshell across social media, with fans freaking out over the chance to see the breakout star live. With his unique blend of heart and grit, Foster is expected to bring a whole new energy to the bayou stage — and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated performances of the festival.

Louisiana’s own John Foster has been added to the lineup for the Boots on the Bayou music festival set for Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.

Foster and YeeDM’s $ami G were the two new artists announced, joining a slate that includes Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, Carly Pearce, Marcus King Band, Maddox Batson, Tyler Braden, Elle King, Ashley Cooke, Chase Tyler and Kruse Brothers.

Foster, who is from Addis and a graduate of Brusly High School, was runner-up to Jamal Roberts in season 23 of American Idol.

Just days before the season finale, Foster returned home and was greeted by thousands of fans in Addis and Plaquemine.
