BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood looked worlds away from her current self in an unearthed eighties throwback snap.
The Scottish weather presenter, 62, was unrecognisable in her younger years, with dark brunette locks instead of her usual blonde tresses.
She accessorised with a red and white headband to pull her hair back into an updo and showcased her natural beauty with a minimal face of makeup.
Thought to be in her late teens or early 20s in the candid snap, Carol’s BBC colleagues recognised her straight away despite the change in hair colour.
‘Oh I know who that beauty is,’ said Sally Nugent, ‘It’s our gorgeous Carol’.

She added: ‘She looks exactly the same!’ while co-host Ben Thompson agreed: ‘She does. She hasn’t changed one bit.’
Last December Carol revealed she feels ‘no pressure whatsoever’ about her looks as she graced the cover of Prima’s February 2024 issue.
‘I’m just into my 60s, but I think the positive is that you care less what people think of you. You hear people’s opinions, but you don’t take them on board as much as when you’re younger,’ the presenter said.
Despite her nonchalance towards her appearance, the presenter revealed that her New Year resolutions are typically focused on physical health, along with much of the population.
‘My resolutions are always the same – the first one is to get fit and the second one is to lose weight,’ she said.
Carol added: ‘I fail by the second day of January on both. There’s always so much leftover food. And then I’m going to start again on Monday – but I never do!’
Carol began her TV career back in 1992 at the age of 30, working on the former TV channel Windsor TV.
After presenting short slots on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4, her first on-screen role at the BBC was as a freelance presenter in 1993.

Back in August Carol finally shared a health update with viewers after they noticed she had been struggling with a hoarse voice and cough while presenting the weather.
During the show, when Carol handed off back to hosts Sally Nugent and Jon Kay, Sally told Carol: ‘Your voice nearly lasted to the very end there, Carol, well done!’
Carol then clarified: ‘I know. It’s this pesky 100-day cough. It just keeps giving. It won’t go.’
Known medically as pertussis, the bacterial chest infection commonly progresses through three stages — with the first largely similar to the common cold.
Sufferers can then be left with a chronic cough that remains for several weeks.
After revealing her illness, Sally said ‘Well get better soon,’ before Jon added: ‘We’ll give you another chance in half an hour and see you then!’
The weather presenter recently took a break from BBC Breakfast, with fellow star Matt Taylor explaining her absence from the show.
