Meghan Markle may have wanted to send a message with a “meaningful choice” she made during her latest joint appearance with Prince Harry, an expert has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended Kevin Costner’s charity concert, One805LIVE!, in Santa Barbara, California, earlier this month.

The star-studded gig, which took place at the actor’s oceanside estate in Carpinteria to help raise funds for the local community’s first responders, was the first time the Sussex couple were pictured together publicly in months. Meghan looked elegant in a navy midi halter-neck dress by Carolina Herrera and her signature pieces of jewellery.

But the Duchess debuted a new piece of jewellery, and according to a jewellery expert, its appearance may have a deeper meaning.

Meghan likely wore Logan Hollowell’s Queen Water Drop Moonstone Ring with Full Pavé Diamond Halo, according to internet sleuths who quickly rushed to identify the Duchess’s fashion picks.

A jewellery expert has analysed Meghan’s choice of bling and discussed what the Duchess may have wanted to communicate with it.

Nilesh Rakholia told Hello! magazine: “Moonstone has long been known as a gem of intuition, protection, and emotional balance.

“Often associated with new beginnings, it’s sometimes called the ‘stone of destiny’, making it an especially meaningful choice for someone in the public eye like Meghan.

“It represents calm, clarity, and feminine energy – qualities the Duchess of Sussex has often been associated with.”

According to Mr Rakholia, the ring’s teardrop shape also carries a deeper meaning.

He explained: “It can be read as a teardrop, which traditionally represents empathy and emotional depth, or as a droplet of water – symbolising renewal, life, and resilience. In many cultures, water is seen as transformative and healing, which aligns beautifully with Meghan’s own journey and the causes she champions.”

He added: “Diamonds symbolise strength and endurance, so the design pairs emotional intuition with resilience and permanence.

“Combined with the smooth gold band, a symbol of tradition and warmth, the overall effect is a ring that balances softness with strength, much like Meghan’s public identity.”
