alling all Peaky Blinders fans! Netflix has released first-look pictures and a new trailer for the new spin-off movie, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man – and we can’t wait to see the infamous Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) make his epic return.
Directed by Tom Harper (Heart of Stone, Wild Rose) and written by the series’ stalwart Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things, Locke), the movie’s new pictures introduce Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth and Jay Lycurgo to the cast, alongside Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham and Cillian Murphy.

Barry Keoghan and Cillian Murphy are the father-son duo
In the trailer, we see Tommy in a house “filled with ghosts” and are introduced to his son, Pinto (Barry Keoghan), who embarks on a perilous act of treason. When Tommy is forced to return to The Garrison Tavern, his reputation seems to be remembered by only some of its bar-goers, with one foolish patron asking: “Who the [explicit] is Tommy Shelby?” The clip ends on a dangerous-looking Tommy knocking back a drink after finally tracking down his son.

Alongside the first look, Netflix has released details of the soundtrack for the new film – which loyal fans will be eager to compare with the often tense, gritty rock tunes from the series.

Sophie Rundle plays Ada
With a soundtrack of 36 tracks promising five original recordings, fans can rest assured that Antony Genn and Martin Slattery, longtime collaborators of the hit gangster franchise, are on hand to compose the original score. Meanwhile, artists like Grian Chatten from Fontaines D.C, Amy Taylor from Amyl & The Sniffers, Nick Cave, Lankum and McLusky are also set to bring their sound to the album.

What happens in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man?
The film picks up where the show left off, on the brink of World War Two in 1940 Birmingham.
The Netflix synopsis reads: “Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders…”
