John Foster sold out his Baton Rouge concert and is dueting with third-place ‘American Idol’ finalist Breanna Nix.
The hits just keep on happening for American Idol runner-up John Foster, who had one of his music dreams come true when he made his his Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, June 7. The country singer beautifully performed “Murder On Music Row” and “How Great Thou Art.”
On the heels of that success, in less than an hour, the 18-year-old sold out his upcoming Aug. 2 show in his home state of Louisiana at The Texas Club in Baton Rouge, leading the venue to add a second show. The additional show will be Aug. 1. The Texas Club’s capacity is 1,350 people.
Even with his solo success – he released his first single, “Tell That Angel I Love Her,” via 19 Recordings, Foster is keeping close to his Idol ties. He and third-place finalist Breanna Nix spent time together in Nashville at CMA Fest and posted a video of themselves singing “Go Rest High on That Mountain” by Vince Gill.
They were joined by Top 25 finalist Riley O’Neill, singing harmonies with Breanna while John was featured up front in the video.
Earlier this month at Nashville Sing!, the duo sang a rendition of Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis‘ “I Told You So, which Breanna posted on her Instagram, writing, “Singing with @officialjohnfoster 🔥 Let us know how it sounds to you… Should we finish the rest?”
