Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams is bringing the heat on and off-screen — even during an interview with Gayle King at the 2026 Golden Globes.
Before he took the stage to present an award with his costar Connor Storrie, Williams hit the red carpet, joining the CBS host for an interview. The 24-year-old actor dropped a number of NSFW jokes during his five-minute conversation with the 71-year-old journalist.
Williams set the tone from the get-go when King brought up his and Storrie’s appearance W Magazine’s Golden Globes party in Los Angeles over the weekend. “The buzz the whole night, and I’m not exaggerating, was, ‘They’re coming! They’re coming! They’re coming!’” King recalled.
“Yeah, we do that a lot,” Williams joked, referencing his steamy Crave drama and getting a laugh out of King. Fans immediately realized how stunned King was by Williams’ blunt response. “Gayle was NOT prepared for hudson someone help her,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Hudson making that joke to 71 year old Gayle King. Jesus Hudson plekaldjdkdjrkrjr.”
The next round of jokes came when King brought out a Heated Rivalry-themed calendar. As King flipped through the photos, she remarked, “We didn’t put this together. This is a bona fide calendar.”
“It’s bone…” Williams, who plays Shane Hollander in the hockey romance series, said before trailing off. “That’s easy. That’s low-hanging fruit.”
The actor commented on how “hot” the photos were, adding that he was “turned on” by them. When they got to December, it got the most extreme reaction out of Williams. “Bust a…,” he said before moaning.

When King later asked the actor what he would do on his ideal date night, he replied, “A lot of things. A lot of things. I don’t know. Good conversation and good laughing and good f**king.“
After a brief silence, King laughed, “I think that does sound like a good first date.”
Fans that’ve been keeping up with the Heated Rivalry press tour know that Williams isn’t afraid of making a raunchy joke or two (or three) in interviews. When he made his late-night TV debut on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show on January 7, Williams guided the talk show host through a risqué-looking hockey stretch. On all fours, Williams quipped, “This is basically 90 percent of where I was for filming.”
