Nicki Minaj will be speaking at the United Nations regarding the violence in Nigeria.

The rapper has been outspoken about the crimes and atrocities against Christians in Nigeria. Nicki has praised Donald Trump and his administration for their stance against the violence.

Now Nicki has been chosen to give remarks at the U.N. about Nigeria, alongside the U.N. Ambassador, Mike Waltz, on November 18. The news was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, but was also spoken about on various Fox shows. On Monday, November 17, Harris Faulkner, host of Faulkner Focus, announced on her show that the next day’s show would take place live at the United Nations. She added that she would then moderate a chat inside the U.N. about the current situation in Nigeria.

“Recently, President Trump called for a stop to the violence, and we showed you, even floated military action,” Harris said on her show. “Also on that panel, top religious leaders, former trump officials, and giving remarks tomorrow, rap star Nicki Minaj, who has embraced this cause and been very vocal about it.”

Another Fox show, Fox & Friends, had Waltz as a guest, where he spoke about the upcoming U.N. panel. “What you have is a terrorist organization, particularly in the north of Nigeria, Boko Haram, that is literally burning churches, massacring people, torturing people, and running them out of their homes,” he said.

The U.N. Ambassador also praised Nicki, saying, “President Trump put a spotlight on it, and you know, really kudos and thanks to someone like Nicki Minaj as a Christian, but as someone with a following she has and with a lot of followers that may not be paying attention to these kinds of issues.”

Nicki has been supportive of Trump on social media, reposting a video on TikTok from the official White House page that listed alleged accomplishments of the current president, including his transphobic executive orders and policies. She also commented on another social media post that used the viral TikTok song mash-up of her song ‘Beez in the Trap’ and ‘What’s Up?’ by 4 Non Blondes.

The rapper wrote on the now-deleted post, according to Rolling Stone, “This is pretty incredible. Thank you.” It was a stark difference to other musicians who have slammed Trump for using their music in videos and during rallies.

Last month, Kenny Loggins shared a statement that Trump used his song “Danger Zone” without authorization in an AI-generated video of the president flying a fighter jet bombing protesters with what appeared to be poop. MGMT shared on Instagram that same month that they disapproved of the Department of Homeland Security using their song ‘Little Dark Age’ in an ICE recruitment video.
