Jesse Watters has shocked Fox News viewers after having a “rare moment of self-awareness” on TV.

The TV host, 47, is known for having a bizarre list of “rules for men” which include not drinking from a straw, not eating soup in public and not crossing your legs. He has also claimed that men “don’t simultaneously wave with both hands” but “wave with one hand.”

Last night, Jesse was asked for his thoughts on men wearing makeup to dinner, after Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, shared clips of them getting their hair and glam done together before visiting Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday evening. But Jesse said he could not criticize the soccer player for wearing makeup, as that’s something he also does regularly for work.

“I wear makeup for a living,” Jesse said. “I’m the wrong guy to be pointing fingers.” Fox viewers were surprised by Jesse’s comment, which one described as a “rare moment of self-awareness.” Another wrote on X, “So, has Jesse suddenly developed self-awareness?? I’m confused…”

A third pointed out, “Oh the difference the segment makes. Same guy who said ‘I have rules for men…Like, you don’t eat soup in public.’ So he can wear makeup like a Drag Quee but men can’t order the split pea??” Someone else said, “Bro puts on a full face for Fox News but a straw is ‘too feminine’? Make it make sense.”

“For the men who wear makeup, it’s no one’s business than the wearer. We need to start minding our own business again,” a person added. “Trump wears make-up all the time,” one more viewer posted.

Jesse previously shared his thoughts on his “rules for men” saying on The Five, “I have rules for men. They’re just funny, they’re not that serious. Like, you don’t eat soup in public. You don’t cross your legs.

“And you don’t drink from a straw. And one of the reasons you don’t drink from a straw is the way your lips purse. It’s very effeminate.”

He sparked fury among online users when he criticized Doug Emhoff for grocery shopping alongside his wife, former Vice President Kamala Harris. He then targeted Minnesota Governor Tim Walz with a barrage of misogynistic comments, giving him the nickname of a “tampon.”

“No real man has a nickname like that,” Watters said. “Real men don’t talk about how masculine they are,” he said, before laying out the “rules for men” that he said are “not serious.”

However, following his comments, images surfaced showing both Jesse and Trump using straws, seemingly contradicting his own rules. In March, Jesse also shared another personal rule, “A man should never Photoshop his picture — ever. A man who Photoshops his picture is a woman.”

After Jesse’s attack, Governor Walz hit back at the TV host, perhaps intentionally getting his name wrong while posting a clip of the “man rules” rant. He tweeted, “There’s nothing weird about Jesse Waters secretly enjoying a bowl of soup alone in the dark.”
