Jeremy Clarkson has issued a devastating update for followers of his Amazon Prime TV show Clarkson’s Farm as he confirmed the death of one of his animals. He shared a photo of a brown and white cow laying on the hay as he wrote: “Sad day on the farm. We lost another cow.” On Saturday (January 31) he shared the image to his 9.8million Instagram followers as people showed their support in the comments.
One user wrote: “I know you guys all care deeply for your animals. Hopefully the amazing team around you guys will figure out what needs to be done to keep anymore from passing away.” Another wrote: “Sorry to hear this, farm life isn’t easy, but we really appreciate your efforts.” Another user questioned if it was from TB, prompting Jeremy to reply that it wasn’t, but said he’s “not sure” what had caused it, and that they were looking into it.

He’s unfortunately faced the loss of multiple animals in the past year, with another cow dying back in October while pregnant with twins due to TB, which also results in the farm going into lockdown. At the moment, they’re waiting on updates to determine exactly what caused the loss.
The tragic news comes shortly after Jeremy issued a huge updateon the future of his Prime TV show after previously stating that filming would wrap after season five and a break would be taking place, but he’s changed his mind.
Speaking to The Sun, he said: “We’ll definitely do six – Amazon want to [do series six] and I want to. I’ve got a good idea for six.”
He added: “I said I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas. But I’ve got two quite good ones, so we’ll do six and then we’ll see…”
There may be a slightly longer break though, because Kaleb is still in Australia and Clarkson said he wanted to have a holiday too, so while they typically wrap a series and then immediately start filming again, that hasn’t happened this time.
Season five is expected to be released in late spring 2026, but no official date has been confirmed, and the series wrapped in late 2025. As usual, the Amazon Prime series will follow Jeremy Clarkson, his girlfriend Lisa Hogan, who runs the farm shop, Kaleb Cooper the farm manager, farming consultant ‘Cheerful’ Charlie Ireland and construction specialist Gerald Cooper.
