Fans will soon be able to binge the latest episodes

One of Netflix’s most popular series is coming back for a fifth season.

The latest insalment of Emily In Paris is set to land on the streamer this week but with a significant twist. It will see Lily Collins reprise the role of Emily Cooper, as she trades France for another luxury hotspot in Europe at least for now.

This season will see the titular character spend some time in Italy, however there is no reason to change the name of the show just yet. As creator Darren Star explained: “”From Parisian rooftops to Roman ruins, we can’t wait to share where Emily’s next chapter takes us.

“Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris.” He was keen to “stay ahead of the audience and take them to unexpected places”.

But when and at what time will episodes be released? Here’s all you need to know…

Making its debut on the streamer back in 2020, the series follows Emily, an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago.

Unexpectedly, she lands her dream job in Paris. Her new life is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles work, friendships, and romance.

According to the synopsis for the latest season provided by Netflix: “Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks.

“Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.”

Emily in Paris season four took the number one spot on the Netflix Global Top 10 when it premiered in August 2024. It had 19.9 million views in its first four days.

All of the main cast will be returning, except Camille Razat as Camille, who left the series following a dramatic pregnancy storyline in season four.

What time does Emily In Paris come out?

But what time do episodes of Emily In Paris season five actually become available? Thankfully for dedicated fans, they won’t have long to wait.

Nor will they be forced to wait weekly for each instlament, or even months apart for different parts of seasons like Netflix has been doing for its Stranger Things finale or they did for season four.

According to the streamer: “Netflix original TV shows and movies are typically released globally at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time. We’ll also share launch times in the Coming Soon section or on the details page of a TV show or movie if the title is launching at a specific time.”

As Emily In Paris is an original title, it means that it will be accessible from 12:00am Pacific Time or 8am UK time on release day. All 10 episodes are expected to release the same date, which is December 18.
