Amid Jennifer Aniston’s burgeoning romance with hypnotherapist Jim Curtis, new reports are claiming that the actress was initially “cautious” about dating the life coach. In an exclusive interview with People, one source revealed that the duo spent “months chatting and getting to know each other” before making the jump from friends to lovers.

“Jen really valued their friendship in the beginning of the year,” the insider explained. “When it all took a turn to something more romantic, she was cautious at first. Now, she’s excited that she just went for it.”

The insider also gushed that Curtis and Aniston’s connection “feels like kismet,” adding that she “truly loves” her new beau. “He’s brought so many good things into her life,” they said.

Aniston and Curtis have been romantically linked since this past July when they were spotted vacationing on a yacht in Mallorca. The couple have hit plenty of relationship milestones since then, including going Instagram official and posing for a photo together for the first time.

Last month, Aniston broke her silence on her newfound love in an interview with Elle. “Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,” she said of Curtis. “He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.”

The Friends alum went on, “He’s very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to.”
