The two met “in a McAlister‘s parking lot,” according to Austin’s August 2019 Instagram post for their one-year anniversary. McAlister’s is a chain deli with locations across the country, but they met at one in Texas.

Yes, they are parents to a son named Emerson. Emerson has joined Austin in supporting Breanna throughout her Idol journey, even if he’s fallen asleep during a few of her performances!

Breanna, Austin, and Emerson live in Denton, Texas. She was celebrated with a hometown parade after making the Top 3 on Idol.

Austin is from Jennings, Oklahoma, and his parents have a church nearby in Oilton, according to a Facebook group.

While Austin’s job has not been confirmed, she revealed in an interview with Parade that he’s able to “work remotely,” which is why he’s been able to be in Los Angeles throughout the Idol live shows.
