I’m a Celebrity’s Tom Read Wilson admitted that he felt “joyous” as he finally left the jungle after three weeks.

39-year-old Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson won over fans of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and made it all the way through to the final three.

He was up against former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty and content creator Angry Ginge, but was confirmed as runner-up after Ginge became the first social media star to be crowned in the jungle.

Ahead of announcing the winner, hosts Ant and Dec revealed they’ve received the highest number of viewer votes in 10 years.

Reflecting on Ginge’s win, Tom said: “I have to say, I thought Ginge had to win, not only because his time had been so stretchy, I mean he did the whole stint, which must have left him absolutely threadbare.

“But also because he was the titan of the trials, he’d go out and you’d know that he’d come back with half the astral plane, and I just felt that in every conceivable way, he was so richly deserving.”

He added: “I think I would’ve had a great pang of guilt if I’d pinched it from him to be honest.”

Now that all of the celebrities have made it out of the jungle, they were all reunited apart from Alex Scott who returned home to support her partner Jess Glynne after her mum had a stroke.

I’m A Celebrity…Coming Out returns to ITV1, ITVX and STV with an exclusive behind the scenes look at what happened when the celebrities left the jungle and returned to VIP paradise. The hour-long special gives a unique insight into behind the scenes of the 25th series of the hit ITV show.

After an emotional reunion for the stars with their loved ones, Tom first saw his mum, Juliette, who was quick to give him a hug as she said: “I’m so proud!”

In the car, Tom can be seen pouring champagne for them both. He said: “This is the way to leave the jungle. This is the best way!”

He added: “I am still utterly, utterly incredulous. It does feel like I’m free from a benevolent house arrest, but I have to say, it was so joyous and it will be indelibly seared on my mental retina for the rest of my life.”

Ruby greeted him at the hotel with a kiss as his other former campmates and friends and family cheered on. Meanwhile, back in his room Tom was seen eagerly searching for the bath.
