John Foster has had a packed schedule since the “American Idol” finale, but he’s recently made a little extra time for romance. The runner-up took to Instagram with a sweet update about his relationship with girlfriend Brooklyn Bourque. “[Brooklyn] and I are sending our love from Navarre Beach!” he captioned the post.
The pair are all smiles in a sunny beach photo, clearly enjoying some quality time on their vacation together. “We’re enjoying some relaxation in between working to get some great things going!” Foster said of their adventure. Positioned on the Florida panhandle, the picturesque Navarre Beach area isn’t a far trip from Foster’s native Louisiana.

Foster and Bourque are high school sweethearts, and they celebrated their one year anniversary in May. As Swooon shared, Foster commemorated the occasion with a heartfelt message in his Instagram stories. “It’s been an amazing year and you’ve been beside me every step of the way,” the singer wrote. “Happy 1 year anniversary. I love you so much.”
Bourque has shown her support for the singer in multiple ways across his ‘Idol’ journey, including being in the audience for many of his performances. When her enthusiasm caught judge Luke Bryan’s attention, Foster proudly confirmed on air that she was his girlfriend. “I feel so blessed to love and be loved by someone who is so genuine, thoughtful, and so so very sweet,” Bourque later wrote about the moment.

After enjoying some time in the sun with his girlfriend, Foster is getting back to his busy schedule. As his official website reported, the singer will perform at the Paragon Resort & Casino on July 5th. He’ll also appear at the Marshland Music Festival later that month.
Although he hasn’t announced an official release date for a debut album yet, that was at the top of his priority list after “American Idol” wrapped. “I love being in the studio,” the singer told TV Insider back in May. His latest single, “Tell That Angel I Love Her” is still delighting fans as they await new music.
