“That will be determined by Her Honour Judge (Kristina) Montgomery KC on November 13.”

Keaton’s parents, Louise and Clint Slater, were sitting in the public gallery as Aleksanders entered his plea.

The youngster was on his way home from school in June 2024 when Aleksanders ploughed into him in a BMW.

West Midlands Police said at the time there were four people in the car, which was driving “well above” the speed limit.

Aleksanders left the UK as a ÂŁ10,000 reward for information was offered up by Crimestoppers.

The driver fled to Latvia where he evaded justice for two years.

Aleksanders was finally returned to the UK on August 5 and was taken to the West Midlands to be charged.

Police confirmed Keaton’s parents were being supported by specially trained officers and had been updated on the developments.
