Ruth Langsford has admitted that she is still open to remarrying one day in the future after her shock split from fellow former This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes. The TV personalities announced the end of their 14-year marriage via a joint statement in May 2024, with Eamonn later beginning a relationship with counsellor Katie Alexander.
While Ruth, 65, is understood to have remained single, she recently shared her thoughts on the possibility of tying the knot again in the future. The Loose Women panellist also shared that she underwent therapy after parting ways from GB News host Eamonn, 66. Taking a “never say never” stance on future serious romances, she made clear that marriage hadn’t been completely dismissed. “I haven’t been put off having a relationship,” she told womanandhome. “I haven’t even been put off marriage, but I’m definitely not actively looking, and part of that is because I’ve realised I’m actually quite good on my own.”

She also credited her close circle of female friends for ensuring she feels “completely supported” while adjusting to life as a single woman.
Meanwhile, Eamonn seemed somewhat regretful in a recent interview. When asked what he would do differently if given the chance to “go back and change anything,” the broadcaster admitted he would “try to find a better balance” between his career and personal life.
In an interview with Mind Jump magazine for its January 2026 issue, Eamonn also tactfully avoided answering the question “What’s your biggest regret?” The magazine noted that it was “intentionally left unanswered.”
Despite their split, Eamonn has remained amicable towards Ruth, wishing her “all the best” over Christmas while attending the TRIC Awards with Katie.

The broadcaster, from Belfast, also opened up about his difficult health battles and decreased mobility. Back in 2016, Eamonn, then 55, underwent a double hip replacement to relieve severe leg, hip and back pain that had rendered him incapable of driving or engaging in any physically demanding activities – he described the operation as “life-changing”.
By 2021, he disclosed that his chronic pain had resurfaced, later finding out it was due to three slipped discs in his back.
The following year, while on a work trip to Belfast, he was hospitalised after his spinal problems affected his bowel and bladder function. A surgery in September 2022 “tidied things up”, he explained afterwards, but it led to further mobility issues resulting in multiple falls.
