Grab the tissues and cue the steel guitar—country music’s favorite love story just hit its sweetest note. Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges have officially tied the knot, and it was nothing short of a Southern fairytale. Set against the golden glow of a Tennessee sunset, the couple said “I do” on a rustic ranch that looked like it was plucked straight from one of Lainey’s lyrics. Bell bottoms, cowboy boots, and hearts wide open—this wedding was pure country magic.
The intimate ceremony took place at a family friend’s sprawling ranch just outside of Nashville, where hay bales doubled as benches, mason jars held wildflowers, and love was the only thing in the air stronger than the scent of honeysuckle. Friends and family gathered beneath twinkling lights strung from barn beams, while Lainey—glowing in a custom lace dress with fringe and flair—walked down the aisle to a live acoustic version of “Things a Man Oughta Know.” (We’re not crying, you are.)
Devlin, known affectionately to fans as “Duck,” was every bit the cowboy groom. Dressed in a tailored suede jacket and boots that had clearly seen a few rodeos, he couldn’t take his eyes off Lainey. The two locked hands and hearts in a short but emotional vow exchange that left half the crowd in joyful tears—and the other half hollering “Amen.”

In true Lainey fashion, the celebration was a full-blown honky-tonk after the ceremony. The couple’s first dance was to “Forever After All” by Luke Combs, but before long, the party kicked into high gear with live music, two-steppin’, and late-night whiskey toasts. Guests dined on Southern comfort food served family-style—think brisket, cornbread, peach cobbler—and clinked glasses beneath the stars.
Lainey’s signature bell bottoms made a second appearance during the reception when she changed into a dazzling rhinestone-studded jumpsuit to hit the dance floor. Devlin matched her energy, and together they twirled, laughed, and stole kisses like the night—and their love—might never end.
Fans and fellow artists flooded social media with congratulations. Miranda Lambert posted, “She got her cowboy and a damn good one. Love wins, y’all.” Meanwhile, HARDY joked, “Knew it from day one. Bell bottoms and Duck calls forever.”
Lainey and Devlin may have come from different worlds—one from the stage, the other from the football field—but their love story proves that sometimes the best things in life are a little unexpected… and a lot country. As Lainey said in a toast that night, “We’ve written a lot of songs… but this is my favorite story.”
So here’s to the bride, the groom, and a forever that’s gonna sound real good set to steel guitar and sunrise. 💍🦆❤️
