50 Cent Celebrates Tupac’s Legacy as Eminem Steps Into the Gaming World With ‘Eminem vs. Slim Shady’ Mission
In a week filled with major developments across music and gaming, two hip-hop icons have dominated headlines.
First, 50 Cent sparked a wave of nostalgia after revealing that his favorite album of all time is Tupac Shakur’s The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.
Hours later, the gaming world erupted as Eminem officially joined Hitman World of Assassination—not just as himself, but as both Eminem and his notorious alter ego, Slim Shady.
Together, these moments have ignited discussions on hip-hop influence, legacy, and the evolving relationship between rap artists and interactive entertainment.

50 Cent Praises the Power of Tupac’s Final Masterpiece
During a recent cultural conversation online, 50 Cent named Tupac’s The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory as his favorite album, highlighting the raw emotional power and lyrical weight that defined one of hip-hop’s most haunting releases.
Released under the alias Makaveli shortly before Tupac’s death, the album has long been viewed as a complex, shadowy reflection of an artist confronting fame, danger, and betrayal.
For 50 Cent, the standout track is the dark and iconic “Hail Mary,” which he praised for its “raw energy, eerie atmosphere, and unforgettable lines.”
Fans quickly echoed his sentiments, flooding social platforms with reactions, memories, and tributes to both artists.
The endorsement resonated particularly because 50 Cent—who built his early image around grit, violence, and survival—has often cited Tupac as a major influence.
Industry analysts noted that the timing of his comment may reflect broader trends in rap, where younger audiences are rediscovering foundational albums, and veteran artists are reasserting the importance of hip-hop’s historical pillars.

Eminem Officially Joins Hitman: A Battle Between Eminem and Slim Shady
While 50 Cent revisited the past, Eminem stepped boldly into the future by entering the Hitman World of Assassination universe.
IO Interactive announced a first-of-its-kind collaboration titled “Eminem vs. Slim Shady,” an Elusive Target mission available for free from December 1 to December 31.
The concept is as surreal as it is unprecedented: Eminem has hired Agent 47 to kill Slim Shady.
The mission coincides with Eminem’s 2024 album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which symbolically attempted to retire the chaotic, controversial character who defined the early years of his career.
In a statement, Eminem explained the tongue-in-cheek premise:
“I’ve been trying to put Slim to rest, but he keeps coming back.
So this time, I’m calling in a professional to get the job done once and for all.
We’ve got some surprises in store for everyone. It’s a battle for the ages.”
A Surreal, Shady-Themed Playground for Players
According to IO Interactive, the mission takes place inside a twisted version of the Hokkaido facility—reimagined as Popsomp Hills Asylum, a reference to the fictional mental hospitals and warped realities often invoked in Slim Shady’s lyrics and videos.
The design was crafted in collaboration with Eminem and longtime creative partner Paul Rosenberg, ensuring that the world reflects Slim Shady’s surreal, off-balance imagination.
Players will encounter:
Slim Shady in multiple disguises
A fully built broadcasting studio referencing his early MTV-era persona
Dreamlike distortions of medical wards, recording rooms, and padded cell corridors
Dozens of hidden Easter eggs tied to Eminem’s discography
One of the mission’s most talked-about features is the inclusion of a poisoned plate of Mom’s Spaghetti, a playful nod to “Lose Yourself” that fans immediately recognized and shared across social media.
Other references include a performance of “Houdini,” a standout track from Eminem’s recent album.
The goal is straightforward but challenging: track down Slim Shady and eliminate him without being detected.
Early previews have described it as one of the most imaginative collaborations in the franchise’s history.

Available Across Nearly Every Major Platform
The mission will be available on almost all modern gaming systems, including:
PlayStation 5 & PlayStation 4
Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One
ROG Ally series
PC
Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2
iPhone and iPad
This wide availability ensures maximum reach for fans of both Hitman and Eminem.
Notably, the collaboration marks one of the widest platform rollouts for any Elusive Target mission in the series.
A Growing Trend: Hip-Hop Icons in Gaming
Eminem’s appearance in Hitman follows his prior gaming collaborations, including a 2013 partnership with Call of Duty: Ghosts promoting the game’s multiplayer trailer.
Artists such as Snoop Dogg, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and Nicki Minaj have also entered high-profile video game universes in recent years.
However, Eminem vs.
Slim Shady stands out because it merges music, gaming, and narrative storytelling in a way that blurs the line between artist and persona.
Fans are not merely seeing Eminem in a game—they are playing in the psychological space between two versions of the same artist.
A Week of Cultural Moments for Hip-Hop
From 50 Cent spotlighting one of the most influential rap albums of all time to Eminem bringing a new dimension to a beloved gaming franchise, the week has been rich with moments that remind audiences of hip-hop’s expansive cultural reach.
Tupac’s legacy remains as potent as ever, influencing new generations and earning praise from peers decades later.
Meanwhile, Eminem continues pushing boundaries, proving that reinvention—and confrontation with one’s own artistic history—can exist even in the world of video games.
Both stories illustrate the same truth: hip-hop is not confined to music alone.
It shapes culture, entertainment, and storytelling across every medium it touches.
