Every now and then, we all need something new to watch on TV, and Netflix currently has an offering that’s gripping viewers. If you’re looking for a different series to tune into, it may just be worth giving this TV drama a go, as people can’t stop talking about how good it is.

The Netflix series recently came up on Reddit when a social media user was asking for advice about show recommendations. It wasn’t long before people started to bring up a series that many love, with several viewers admitting to binging all episodes in a single sitting as they thought it was so good.

It’s not the only piece of TV advice to be shared recently either. If you’re a fan of crime dramas, there are said to be 10 available on Netflix that you simply have to watch.

A social media user said: “The most binge worthy Netflix show or movie you’ve ever watched? You ever start a show or movie on Netflix thinking you’ll just watch one episode, then suddenly it’s 3am and you’ve watched the whole thing?

“Just curious what people’s recommendations are for ones that really had you hooked.” The question quickly got a lot of people talking.

One person replied, saying: “Bloodline. That was my first Netflix show I was hooked on. I’ll forever associate the Netflix sound effect with that show. The first two seasons are excellent.”

Another added: “One of my favourite series ever. Incredible acting, beautiful location and an underlying tension building throughout the show. The perfect slow burn.”

A third replied: “This is a fantastic series. I’ve watched it a few times all the way through.” Meanwhile, a fourth also praised Bloodline, writing: “It was very good. Definitely binged.”

One more also noted: “I just watched it for the first time a few months ago. Definitely a great show.”

Many agreed that the show is amazing, with one even deeming it totally “underrated”. If you haven’t seen it, the show is worth adding to your watchlist.

What is it about?

If you haven’t seen it before, Bloodline is an American psychological thriller television series, which was created by Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, and produced by Sony Pictures Television.

It first premiered back in February 2015 in the Berlinale Special Galas section of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival. Just over month later, the 13-episode first season premiered on Netflix.

In a nutshell, the show is a slow-burn psychological thriller which centres on the Rayburns, who are a respected family in Florida Keys. However, their dark past is exposed when their troubled older brother, Danny, comes back home.

Lies and paranoia build, which forces the siblings into extreme, criminal actions in a bid to protect their reputation and secrets. Viewers get to witness the tension between their “perfect” family image and the reality of their dark secrets.

When the first season was released, it received good reviews from critics. Many praised the performances of Ben Mendelsohn and Kyle Chandler, and they also admired its cinematography.
