THE SECRET Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper’s plastic surgeon Dr. P. Daniel Ward has been arrested at least three times for violent behavior.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively report that Dr. Ward – who the Mormon Wives star blamed for “ruining her career” with his “terrible” facial surgeries – is now on probation with the Utah Medical Licensing Board as a result of his very serious charges.

Jessi‘s plastic surgeon was arrested three times over the course of a year and a half, with his first bust on December 10, 2023.

On that night, cops claimed Ward arrived to a woman’s house, and an argument broke out.

“The victim was lying down in her bed, where [Dr. Ward] grabbed her forcefully and held her down on the bed,” the responding officer claimed.

“She said she was scared and felt she’d be unable to leave.”

The alleged victim then said Ward “grabbed a firearm and put it to his head and pulled the trigger, but there were no bullets in the gun.”

According to the cops, the alleged victim texted her daughter to call 911 when Ward pulled out the gun, as she was worried for her safety.

During the incident report, the woman also detailed another sinister incident that allegedly occurred just a few weeks prior.

That November, “the victim stated the fight got physical when [Dr. Ward] pushed her on the ground and her head hit the tile.”

The woman claimed she had headaches and vision issues in the aftermath.

She told cops Ward then came up behind her and put both hands around her neck and attempted to choke her.

“The victim stated she did not lose consciousness, but was very scared for her life,” the responding officers wrote in the report.

In the midst of the alleged assault, he “even told her he was going to shoot himself in the driveway and make her clean it up,” cops wrote.

“He then went outside to the driveway and fired a handgun in the air.”

The celebrity plastic surgeon was charged with two counts of aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of assault, and three counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child.

Based on the officers’ findings, they determined the actions of Ward were “potentially lethal” and that as a result, the charges would be elevated to felonies.

More arrests

Jessi’s plastic surgeon was arrested again in December 2024 when his adult child called 911 after hearing the same woman involved in the first arrest screaming from the garage.

The officers in that probable cause affidavit claimed Ward “had become agitated and pushed the victim with both hands.

“The victim stated she had fallen backwards and hurt her neck.

She alleged he then “grabbed her by the front of her coat and picked her up, causing the collar of the coat to put pressure on her neck but not restrict her breathing.”

The responding officers said they attempted to talk to Ward, but he refused to respond, and he was arrested and charged with assault.

In his most recent arrest, on August 8, 2025, Ward allegedly shoved a female at his home and then “punched a hole in the wall near the bathroom.”

The surgeon was charged with assault and criminal mischief in that incident.

A temporary restraining order was granted to the main victim in these cases.

However, all charges were ultimately dismissed due to “issues with the witness,” court documents indicate.

Medical probation

On February 21, 2024, a non-disciplinary practice limitation and stipulation order was filed against Dr. Ward by the Utah Medical Licensing Board.

The first order was a result of the board’s review of his initial arrest on December 10, 2023.

The board alleged that in “committing the alleged crimes, [Dr. Ward] engaged in erratic behavior, including references and conduct towards self-harm which involved the use of a firearm.”

Dr. Ward was ordered to stop performing surgeries including a brow lift, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, facelift, otoplasty, and rhytidectomy.

He also agreed to only provide continuing care to current patients, and to not accept any new patients, until he obtained “an independent mental health evaluation.”

The order stated that Jessi’s surgeon would need to be medically and mentally cleared, and once that was completed, he would be “entitled to resume all aspects of his medical practice.”

In April 2024, the medical licensing board said they found that despite being found “fit to practice subject to the evaluator’s recommendations to assist [Dr. Wrad’s] practice and promote his well-being,” he had “performed several restricted surgeries and saw one new medical patient” before his evaluation was completed.

They determined that he had engaged in “unprofessional conduct, by performing restricted surgeries and seeing a new patient.”

The Utah Medical Licensing Board determined that Dr. Ward “violated the terms and conditions of the Practice Limitation.”

He was then given a set of new restrictions by the board, including being ordered not to take steroids and to submit to regular drug testing.

He also had to make sure patients gave him informed consent to use their image and likeness in promotional material.

Final warning

On December 15, 2025 – just before Jessi got several cosmetic procedures with Dr. Ward – the board issued a new order.

The board claimed he had missed four dates for drug testing, and on two dates he did show up, his testosterone was out of range.

“Respondents’ substance use monitoring has revealed unusually low testosterone results, which the medical director has indicated may be attributable to exogenous steroid use.”

At that point, they had also discovered he had been arrested the two additional times.

“After considering the facts and evidence presented at the informal hearing, the Division concludes that a re-assessment is reasonably necessary to ensure Respondent is mentally and physically fit to safely engage in the practice of medicine.”

He was ordered to contact a multidisciplinary team, and to complete a mental evaluation within 60 days of the order.

As of the current day, Dr. Ward’s medical license remains on “active probation.”

Dr. Ward’s response

Dr. Ward’s attorney, who is handling his case with the licensing board, responded to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

“All criminal allegations lodged against Dr. Ward were personal in nature and unrelated to his medical practice or patient care.

“His Utah medical license is on probation with the Utah Division of Professional Licensing.

“The supervision is administrative and is unrelated to concerns regarding patient safety or surgical care,” the attorney said in a statement.

Jessi slams ‘terrible’ surgeries

Just last week, Jessi revealed she’s deeply unhappy with her results from Dr. Ward’s surgeries, which included an upper and lower blepharoplasty, and fat grafting in her face and lips.

At a pre-surgery appointment with Dr. Ward, Jessi said she inquired about the upper bleph, which removes sagging skin from the upper eyelids, and and went ahead with the procedure at her surgeon’s suggestion, although she “did not want it.”

“I really wish I would’ve asked more questions. I wish I wouldn’t have done it. I wish I would’ve said no, and it’s my fault that I was like, ‘Okay, yeah, whatever you think,’ but at the end of the day, I wish that there had been more information,” she said on March 6.

She also revealed that her doctor combined a lip lift with the procedure, which uses eye tissue for lip augmentation, but she “didn’t ask for” it.

“[The procedure] made my lips really lumpy; I have one that dips. I’m getting a lot of comments about my lip filler, and I agree, it looks awful. My face looks terrible. I totally agree,” Jessi said.

The U.S. Sun reached out to Jessi for further comment on the situation.

Dr. Ward’s attorney responded to Jessi’s allegations in a statement to The U.S. Sun.

“Out of respect for patient privacy, Dr. Ward cannot comment on the details of any individual patient treatment.

“However, his practice maintains a thorough informed consent process which includes a discussion of risks and benefits of any procedure.

“All surgical care is performed in accordance with accepted medical standards.

“Dr. Ward has more than 16 years of experience in facial plastic surgery, resulting in a successful practice and positive patient results,” the statement concluded.
