BEYONCE and Jay-Z’s big move to Britain has been rained off — because the land they had their eyes on is at risk of flooding.

The superstar US couple, worth a combined £1.5billion, were said to be buying a £7.5million 58-acre plot in the Cotswolds.

It had planning permission for a seven-bed property.

But insiders said Beyonce, 44, and 99 Problems singer Jay-Z, 56, had turned their backs on the area after learning it was prone to flooding.

A source said: “Beyonce and Jay-Z buying this plot of land was the talk of the Cotswolds.

“So many locals were excited about them moving in.

“But the plan appears to have fallen through.

“The plot they were looking at has still not been sold and is now being developed by another couple.

“It’s a flood-prone area and that will definitely have put a dampener on proceedings — especially with all the rain we’ve had over the past month.”

Flooding also forced US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres to sell the Cotswolds home she shared with former actress Portia de Rossi.

They bought an estate in Oxfordshire for £15million in June 2024.

But that November it was flooded during Storm Bert and they later put it up for sale for £22.5million.
