A homicide investigation is underway following postmortem results into the death of a woman whose body was discovered inside a home last week.
Emergency services were called to a property on Beryl Ct in Bellbird Park, about 30 minutes south-west of Brisbane, about 11.30am on February 19 following reports of a disturbance in the street.

Ipswich Detective Inspector Michael Manago said the woman had been identified as Katherine Sanowski, 42, from Springfield.
He confirmed the disturbance that prompted the police call involved a resident of the dwelling damaging property and interfering with traffic in the street.

“We have conducted a postmortem which has identified some suspicious elements in regards to this death and as such we treat it like a homicide investigation,” Manago said.
“Our investigations suggest that the deceased had been in that dwelling for about two weeks, backdating to early February.”
