arning! The Traitors season 4 spoilers lie ahead…
Season four of the BBC’s hit reality competition show The Traitors is well and truly underway, and with more twists and surprises than ever before, this series could just be the best yet.
The popular show, hosted by style icon Claudia Winkleman, features a fresh batch of 22 contestants from across the nation, as well as a brand-new twist in the form of the Secret Traitor.
Friday night’s episode saw the aftermath of Fiona turning on Rachel with Stephen awkwardly watching on as the pair clashed in the turret. Fiona accused Rachel of playing her own game, saying: “You’re probably wondering Rachel why I’ve put your name out there with everybody, and it’s simple really. I believe you are playing a game for yourself. And I thought we were in this as a team.

“And the reason I’m saying that is because Stephen’s name has been thrown around the castle today. I have not heard you defend him in any shape or form.”
However, Rachel won out in the end, with the head of communications managing to turn the Faithful on Fiona, getting her banished.
However, there is more danger in store for the Traitors, as Harriet, Matthew and Rachel, won the opportunity to speak to the Traitors and ask them two questions.

Fiona
After being a ‘Secret Traitor’ and then joining her fellow Traitors, it was Fiona’s turn to be banished after her turning on Rachel backfired. The pair accused each other at the roundtable, but the Faithful opted to vote for Fiona.
As she left, the local government officer said: “I want to say I haven’t had the opportunity to grow to love you, but I do like you very, very much.
“I came in here to prove that women of a certain age should be listened to, and I feel as if I’ve been listened to. Thank you all for being wonderful, wonderful people. I will never, ever forget you. You may be very surprised to hear that I am a traitor.”

Reece
Reece got incredibly emotional when he was nearly banished at the Roundtable, with Traitor Rachel describing the killing as one of “mercy”.
However, following his murder, Reece was adamant his fellow Faithful would win the game. “Right as I thought people were starting to believe me,” he said. “This will clear me though. To the traitors, I trust my faithful and just know they absolutely will get you. There’s some smart brains there.”

Amanda was banished at the roundtable
Amanda
Retired police detective Amanda was banished from the roundtable after a tied vote with Reece. Their fate was left to chance following two rounds of voting.
Before her banishment, the 57-year-old from Brighton told Rachel that she was a former police detective.
After sharing this information with the group, fellow Traitor Fiona turned on Rachel and accused her of lying.
Before her departure, Amanda told her fellow players: “Remember everything that I’ve said today, and most importantly, my house is your house, anytime.
“I don’t need to go all dramatic. I think you all know what I’m going to say… take care of yourselves, I’m a faithful.”

Maz was the third player to be murdered
Maz
Civil servant Maz was the third faithful to be murdered after the latest challenge saw him locked up in a cage.
The 59-year-old was killed by the Traitors in an explosive face-to-face murder.
While Maz said he “would have believed” Stephen was a Traitor, he said Rachel and Fiona “let me down badly”.

Ross (Faithful) banished
The Traitors’ plan to blame Ross for Ben’s murder eventually paid off as the personal trainer was banished by his fellow Faithful. However, there was one more shock in store as after his banishment, Ellie revealed that the pair were dating during a confessional.
As he departed, Ross said: “This has been really fun. It has been lovely to meet you all. I feel like I’ve made some lifetime friends.”

Hugo (Traitor) – banished
Barrister Hugo was unmasked as a Traitor after the Faithful surprisingly pulled off an early roundtable victory.
Despite being betrayed by his fellow Traitor Stephen, Hugo said upon his exit: “I do hope the Traitors go on to win, notwithstanding that Stephen stabbed me in the front. I think it’s about time the Traitors bounce back. So yes, they’ve got my unqualified support.”
“I’ve got mixed feelings about leaving the game. I love the game, and I think it’s important that everyone plays to win.
“When I was there, it was such a fun time. I don’t think I fell out with anyone and I didn’t do anything particularly devious or dastardly. So yeah, it was a great, fun time to be there, but a good time to go. Always leave them wanting more.”

Ben (Faithful) – murdered
This one hurt, as the Traitors targeted Ben to deliberately shift suspicion onto Ross after Ben voiced his doubts earlier in the episode.
Speaking of his time on the show, Ben said: “I’m broken-hearted, but I have won anyway just by playing the game.”

Judy (Faithful) – banished
Much to the dismay of her daughter Roxy, who is also in the line-up of Faithful, Judy was banished after being accused of changing her behaviour from the train station to the castle.
Speaking of her experience, Judy said: “It’s been incredible, and the friendships that we’ve built up are incredible. It’s a unique situation that we’ve all been in together and I’ve loved every minute of it. I was there playing the game the best I could. Unfortunately, it wasn’t good enough.”

Netty (Faithful) – murdered
Netty seemed to be cursed from the start, having surprisingly bumped into Ross, whom she knew from years ago. Chosen from the shortlist supplied by the Secret Traitor to Rachel, Hugo and Stephen, the Traitors ultimately decided that Netty’s short time on the show was up.
Describing her end as “bittersweet”, Netty said: “I didn’t have the time that I had hoped to have, but I think I’ve had the time I was meant to have. I’ve had the experience that it should have been for me, and I get to watch it as a viewer now, not knowing what’s going to come.”
