Swiss authorities have confirmed the identities of the 40 victims of the New Year’s Eve fire at a bar in Crans-Montana, a tragedy that struck particularly hard as nearly half of those who perished were under the age of 18. According to Swiss police, the victims included two 14-year-olds, six 15-year-olds, nine 16-year-olds, and three 17-year-olds. The rest were mostly young adults, with six aged 18 and 14 between the ages of 20 and 39. Regarding nationalities, 22 victims were Swiss, seven were French, six Italian, and the remainder came from Romania, Portugal, Belgium, and Turkey.
