THIS is the chilling moment a student makes a gun-shape with his hands as he paces a classroom before killing nine people in a horror school shooting.

In the shocking video, the alleged Turkish school shooter can be seen holding his hands as if they’re a gun under his chin.

Reportedly filmed by a student in a classroom on Wednesday, he can be seen marching around in a circle while holding the chilling pose.

Later that same day, the student — identified by state-run broadcaster TRT as Isa Aras Mersinli — shot eight children and one teacher, 55, in a terrifying rampage at a middle school in southern Turkey.

The attack sent shockwaves across the country, coming just one day after 16 students were injured in a separate school shooting in Turkey’s south east.

It’s understood Wednesday’s perpetrator concealed his dad’s guns in a backpack to carry out the horrific “indiscriminate” attack on two different classrooms.

Mersinli’s father — a former police inspector — has been detained by police.

An even more chilling detail about Mersinli has emerged as authorities say he had reference to a US mass killer in a WhatsApp profile image.

“Initial findings from the investigation revealed that the perpetrator used an image on his WhatsApp profile referencing Elliot Rodger, who carried out an attack in the United States in 2014,” the police said in a statement.

Cops also seized digital media from the perpetrator’s home and his father’s vehicle which are currently being analysed.

“Based on initial findings, no link to terrorism has been established. This appears to be an isolated act,” they said.

Rodger, 22, killed six people on the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara, before taking his own life.

The mass murderer explained in a video released before his crime that the attack was “punishment” for the women who had rejected him.

The funerals of the children, aged between 10 and 11, along with their teacher, will be held on Thursday in the city of Kahramanmaraş.

They have been identified as teacher Ayla Kara and students Mustafa Aslan, Şuranur Sevgi Kazıcı, Zeynep Kılınç, Furkan Sancak Balal, 11, Bayram Nabi Şişik, 10, Belinay Nur Poyraz, 10, Adnan Göktürk Yeşil, 11, and Kerem Erdem Güngör.

At least 20 others were injured in the attack, with six remaining in critical condition.

A student survivor told a local media outlet that the shooter told their friend “I will kill you”.

On Thursday, Turkish police ordered the arrest of 83 people accused of posting controversial content on social media of the two school shootings.

“Arrest orders were issued for 83 individuals found to have engaged in posts and activities praising crime and criminals and negatively affecting public order, and legal action has been taken against them,” the police said in a statement.

Terrifying footage went viral on Wednesday of screaming children fleeing the school building to the opposite side of the street.

Kids could also be seen jumping from the school’s second-storey into the arms of fellow students below.

About 15 gunshots could be heard in the one-and-a-half-minute video.

Videos from outside the school shows hundreds of people frantically ushering ambulances and police through the school gates as staff and students flee to safety.

Schools will remain closed in Kahramanmaras on Thursday and Friday.

On Wednesday, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said authorities believed the attack was “personal”.

Mersinli reportedly died during the ordeal though it is unclear if that was intentional or not.

It comes just 24 hours after a former student armed with a pump-action shotgun began firing randomly at a different school in Turkey.

At least 16 people were injured in that attack at the high school in the country’s south east.

Distressing CCTV footage shows the shooter charge towards the school doors as some of his panicked classmates recognise the danger and begin to flee.

The teen then enters the building and looks down at his rifle before beginning his rampage.

Terrified students can be seen running for their lives and barricading themselves in classrooms as the gunman makes his way down the hall.

School shootings in Turkey had been rare until this week.

In May 2024, a former student killed a private high school principal in Istanbul with a firearm five months after he was expelled.

Turkey has strict gun laws that require licensing, registration, mental and criminal background checks, and severe penalties for illegal possession.

Dozens of members of the main teachers’ unions gathered Wednesday evening outside the education ministry in Ankara and called for a two-day strike across Turkey.

They carried banner reading “We will not surrender our schools to violence”.
