Married At First Sight bride Gia Fleur has revealed her surprising new career after appearing on Channel 9’s reality dating show.

The 35-year-old worked as a disability support carer when she went on MAFS, but has revealed the little-known pivot she’s done since the show wrapped filming last year.

“People don’t know this about me but I’ve flipped six houses,” the mother-of-one told New Idea.

“I’m a property investor, and I’m currently looking for another house to flip.”

She said her daughter, Willa, loves to help her renovate the properties, adding that the nine-year-old has helped her put in carpets and paint walls.

Could we be seeing Gia back on our screens after MAFS?

While she has regretted her time on MAFS, the experience hasn’t completely deterred her from being on reality TV again.

Moving from disability support to the property industry has inspired her to being open to appearing on The Block.

Gia said the Channel 9 renovation show would be at the “top of her list” if she was set to step in front of the cameras again.

She ruled out appearing on another dating show, saying since leaving Married At First Sight and her marriage to Scott McCristal, she has found love with Love Triangle’s Alan Wallace.

Alan is an electrician by trade and has also flipped houses, with Gia revealing it’s something the couple are looking to get into together.

She said she’d love it if the pair were about to go on The Block together.

Gia said she’d also be open to appearing on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, where she’d join the list of Married At First Sight alums who appeared on the show, including Domenica Calarco and Ryan Gallagher.

A look back on Gia’s time on MAFS

Gia has been a controversial figure on the reality show, which is in its final week of airing for this season.

She has been known for getting into explosive blow-ups with fellow bride Bec Zacharia on the show, but it seems the pair have now mended fences.

Gia and Scott had a strong start to the experiment, with the couple very loved up on their honeymoon.

However, they had an emotional final commitment ceremony on Sunday, with Scott confessing to the experts he was scared to speak up in his relationship over fears Gia would get angry at him.

He also opened up about the pressure Gia was placing him to say he was “in love”.

Despite this, he didn’t want to run away as he wanted to salvage his relationship with Gia. But he did issue her a warning to keep her emotions in check.

“I want this to work. I want to be with you. I want to leave this experiment with you,” Scott said on Monday’s episode.
