Authorities were called to the residence around 6:20pm after a concerned neighbor requested a welfare check, saying they had been unable to reach the family.
Inside, officersĀ discovered the bodiesĀ of Myers, her four children ā 13-year-old Harper Harmon, 11-year-old Hudson Harmon, and 10-year-old twins Gavin and Gracelynn Harmon ā along with the childrenās grandmother.
At a press conference Thursday, MechanicvilleĀ PoliceĀ said investigators believe Steadman was āinvolved in a mass poisoningā and confirmed a note was recovered from inside the apartment.
Authorities said they found evidence indicating āintentional poisoningā involving numerous prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Police stressed that the incident appears to have occurred entirely within the apartment and do not believe anyone else was involved.
Investigators also revealed a troubling detail: one of the children suffered āfatal sharp-forced injuries.ā
Officials have not publicly identified which child suffered the injury.
As investigators continue to piece together what happened,Ā social media offers a glimpse into the close-knit family at the center of the tragedy.
Myers frequently shared posts celebrating motherhood and documenting family milestones with her children.
In one post, she shared a cartoon-style image of her and her children standing side by side.
Myers labeled herself āmama bearā and placed each of her childrenās names beneath their corresponding figures.
Other family photographs showed her smiling with her arms wrapped around her children during holidays, school events, and everyday moments.
Steadman also posted regularly about her grandchildren.
In one meme she shared, the message read: āAny day with a grandchild in my arms, on my lap, in my home, or on my mind is an amazing day!ā

The online tributes now stand in stark contrast to the devastating scene police encountered this week.
Friends and relatives have described the familyās circumstances as increasingly strained in recent months amid aĀ high-conflict custody battleĀ between Myers and her ex-husband, Brady Harmon.
Myers had publicly vented frustrations about the legal dispute in Facebook comments and alleged she was a victim of domestic abuse.
No arrest records or criminal history for Harmon were identified in a review of public records by The U.S. Sun and he has not returned calls for comment.
Court filings show Harmon filed for divorce from Myers in Utahās Third Judicial District Court on March 30, 2020.
The proceedings stretched on for years before Judge Coral Sanchez signed a final Decree of Divorce on April 14, 2026.
The order granted the former couple joint legal custody of their four children while awarding Myers sole physical custody.
Under the decree, Harmon was ordered to pay $500 per week in child support and was granted summer parent-time from July 1 through September 1 each year.
Less than two months later, the case took another turn when Harmon filed an ex parte motion seeking to enforce the order.
Court records show Myers was then ordered to personally appear in a Salt Lake City courtroom on June 29, 2026, to address potential contempt-of-court sanctions.
That hearing was scheduled to take place just days after police made the grim discovery.
Authorities have not released a motive, disclosed the contents of the note found in the apartment, or established a public timeline of the deaths.
The investigation remains ongoing pending autopsy and toxicology results.
Harmon toldĀ Times UnionĀ that he received the devastating news from police at his Utah home and had been preparing to reunite with his children after years apart.
He said he had not seen the children since 2019 but recently reached an agreement with Myers that would have allowed them to spend the summer with him.
āI went from Iām seeing my kids to Iāll never see my kids again,ā Harmon said.
āHope to hell. Things happen, but nothing like this.ā
He said police did not tell him how the children died and he was not sure who could be responsible.
