A business expert has predicted that Republicans will prop up Tucker Carlson as the party’s next presidential candidate.
Marketing professor and media personality Scott Galloway, 60, made the stunning claim while discussing the decline of traditional television on the Pivot podcast.
His co-host, Kara Swisher, said the former Fox News host ‘was absolutely right’ for warning that ‘civil disobedience’ could erupt if the Trump administration used the assassination of Charlie Kirk to attack free speech.
‘I think Tucker right now is the most likely nominee for the Republican nomination,’ Galloway replied.
‘I think he has been very good lately.’
He cited Carlson’s willingness to defy party lines while making the bold prediction.
‘About housing, for young people, he comes across as intellectually honest. He comes across as courageous, not afraid to go against his own party,’ Galloway said.
His forecast framed Carlson as the more probable pick than the widely accepted frontrunner, Vice President JD Vance.

Donald Trump has floated both Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as possible successors since his January reelection.
Department of Homeland Security boss Kristi Noem is also seen as a possible 2028 contender.
Other names that could potentially appear on primary ballots include Tim Scott, Ted Cruz, Glenn Younkin, and Rand Paul.
Carlson, who was fired from Fox News in April 2023, now hosts a successful podcast.
He recently earned the ire of some MAGA faithful for openly opposing Trump’s strikes in Iran, as well as hosting the Iranian president on his show.
He has also spoken out against US support for Israel.
At a Turning Point USA event in Tampa this past July, Carlson slammed the Trump administration for what he framed as grandstanding rather than really creating change.
‘I don’t know, it kind feels like you’re feeding me appetizers,’ an emotional Carlson had told audience members. ‘At some point, I want to look around and see a better country. I want to see a country I recognize.’
He appeared at Kirk’s memorial service on Sunday in Glendale, Arizona, as did Vance.
