Elon Musk has spoken out against The View star and actress Whoopi Goldberg following her comments about Iran.

Speaking on The View this week, Whoopi furiously clashed with her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin over the discussion and idea of the United States going to war with Iran. As Alyssa referenced Iran and some of their laws, Whoopi hit back and pointed out hate crimes in America.

She shared, “Let’s not do that, because if we start with that, we have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car. Listen, I’m sorry. They used to just keep hanging Black people.” She then suggested “it is the same” between the United States and Iran and that “there’s no way I can make you understand it”.

Social media influencer Jeffery Mead shared a clip from The View’s discussion to X, as he wrote, “Whoopi Goldberg just claimed being black in America is “no different” than living in Iran.

“Seriously? In Iran, you can be jailed, tortured, or executed for speaking out. Women are beaten for showing hair. Protesters are gunned down in the street. There is little to no free speech or civil rights.

“In America, you can protest, vote, sue the government, start a business, run for office, and get paid millions to say stupid things on national TV. Enough with the victim olympics.”

Of the many replies, one was notable as it came from X owner Elon Musk. Keeping it short and sweet, Elon simply replied with the 100% emoji.

Network anchor Harris Faulkner also hit out at Whoopi during Thursday’s broadcast of The Faulkner Focus. She said, “It’s asinine what I just heard from Whoopi Goldberg. You know, we’re two Black individuals and we’ve done well, we’re successful, and there’s a lot of other folks like us around. This is not Jim Crow, this is not slavery, and to be making those kinds of comparisons is despicable.”

She continued, “Just to make that comparison and not give the world credit on where we’ve come from. It’s Juneteenth! It’s June 19th. We know where we have been. That is not 2025.”

This isn’t the first time Whoopi and Elon have been locked against each other with alternating views, as the actress previously hit out at the Tesla founder claiming that the meltdown between him and President Donald Trump was “fake” and a “distraction.”

Speaking to her fellow panellists on The View as they discussed the fall out at the beginning of the month, Whoppi said, “I love that you all brought into it,” before adding that she does “believe it’s fake.”

She then explained why she thought the pair’s fighting was fake, as she shared, “It’s too strategic. I just feel like, oh yeah, now suddenly everybody’s upset about stuff. I’m sorry, no. This is another distraction to keep us talking not about the stuff we’re talking about, but the stuff they want us to. I’m not buying it. I don’t buy it, because they love to lie all day.”
