The Daily Beast caught a glimpse of what appears to be a new bruise on President Donald Trump’s left hand after a persistent one on his right hand was spotted earlier this year.

Asked for comment, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told HuffPost:

“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history. His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.”

Her grandiose explanation was similar to her response when a bruise was seen on Trump’s right hand in February. But the White House later offered a more medical explanation, saying soft-tissue irritation resulted from frequent hand-shaking and the aspirin he takes.

The discoloration on the back of his left hand would seemingly be more difficult to explain away by handshake. But that’s what Leavitt appeared to go with after the bruise emerged in a video clip of Trump playing golf with pitching great Roger Clemens and others over the weekend at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia.

The mark can be seen just seconds into the Instagram video shared by Clemens’ son, Kacy.

Trump continues to seemingly apply makeup or medicinal coverage of some kind to his right hand to cover markings, as seen on Aug. 22, 2025. Now his left hand has a similar-looking bruise.
