A number of fellow talk show hosts and Hollywood stars have taken to social media showcasing their disappointment over the news that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has been cancelled

Stars all across the entertainment industry have reacted to the devastating news that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has been cancelled by CBS.
Taking to social media a number of fellow talk show hosts and celebrities alike have shared their disappointed reactions to the unfortunate news that after 33 years on the air, The Late Show will be coming to an end. Among those that showcased their support for Stephen on social media were Jimmy Kimmel, Rachel Zegler, Adam Scott, Judd Apatow, Jon Batiste, Ben Stiller, Andy Ritcher, Michael Ian Black, among many more.
This is just one of the many shows that have been axed by the network this year including the cancellation of the hit series S.W.A.T., FBI: International, FBI: Most Wanted, After Midnight, and more.
In the aftermath of the news, Kimmel — host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live! — was vocal about his love for the late night show and sent a fiery message of disapproval to CBS. The 57-year-old television personality shared a screenshot of Stephen’s show on his Instagram Story and wrote, “Love you Stephen. F— you all and your Sheldons CBS.”

Talk show host Andy Ritcher, the co-host for Conan O’Brien on O’Brien’s talk shows: Late Night and The Tonight Show on NBC and Conan on TBS, wrote, “Stephen Colbert is a profoundly good and deeply talented man with a great staff and an excellent show. They all deserve better.”
American actor and producer Adam took to the comment section of Stephen’s Instagram post sharing his fury over the news. Under the update, the Severance star wrote, “Love you Stephen. This is absolute bulls— and I for one am looking forward to the next 10 months of shows,” followed by an angry face emoji and broken heart emoiji.
Hollywood star Ben Stiller also shared his disappointment on X, formerly Twitter, as he wrote, “Sorry to hear @CBS is cancelling one of the best shows they have. Wishing all the people who work so hard on that show all the best.”

Snow White actress Rachel Zegler also piled in with a supportive message as she commented, “i am extremely sad. i adore you, stephen.”
Actor Judd Apatow also shared a supportive message for the late night host as he sweetly penned, “My admiration and appreciation for you is bottomless. Excited to see what other brilliance you put into the world.”
Singer Jon Batiste also chimed in to praise Stephen’s one-of-a-kind talent as he wrote, “The greatest to ever do it.”
Actor Michael Ian Black over on X posted, “Congrats to Stephen Colbert for never bending the knee.”
