Meghan Markle is reportedly orchestrating a “high-powered” return to the UK alongside her husband, Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex has not set foot in her husband’s home country since 2022, when she travelled here for the late Queen’s funeral.

But now her friends have said that she is “newly energised” about making a grand UK return, which will carry a deeper meaning. People close to the Duchess said Andrew’s scandal has “only strengthened her resolve,” adding: “She feels vindicated. There’s a sense of, ‘We tried to tell you.’”

While Meghan’s UK return is said to coincide with Prince Harry’s one-year-to-go Invictus Games event, sources claim the trip will hold quite a significance for the Duchess.

The source told celebrity journalist Rob Shuter: “She wants to show the British public what they threw away. It’s not anger — it’s confidence.”

They added: “She’s not going back quietly. If she returns, it will be on her terms.”

The Sussexes have reportedly been considering accommodation in Birmingham for their visit.

It comes after the couple completed their first pseudo-royal tour in Jordan.
