Gordon Ramsay makes ‘dig’ at Adam Peaty’s family in ‘fiery’ wedding speech

Holly Ramsey and Adam Peaty tied the knot on Saturday, with the beaming newlyweds emerging hand-in-hand from Bath Abbey following one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings in recent years.

Holly’s dad, TV chef Gordon Ramsey, gave an explosive speech on the day, including a dig at Adams absent parents. He started by stating Adam was a ‘lucky man’ before he said: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

It comes after Adam’s feud with mum Caroline exploded last month after she was not invited to Holly’s hen do, which led to her not being invited to the wedding.

Caroline, 60, spoke out ahead of the wedding, telling the Mail: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out.

“This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together – my family is broken. Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on…because of the wedding.”

Following Gordon’s speech, a family source hit out and said it was Ramsey’s ‘plan all along’. They said: “It just goes to show that this was the Ramsays’ plan all along. You’d think that as parents, Gordon and Tana would have a bit more compassion towards Caroline, Mark and the family”, reports The Sun.
They added: “Caroline did everything and more to help Adam. She and Mark sacrificed a lot to get him where he is. Adam ought to be ashamed of himself for going ahead with the wedding without them after everything they did to support him. Beth has betrayed her mum to see what she can get out of being the only family member who gets on with Adam and Holly.

“This isn’t the Bethany we all know, she’s changed her appearance and personality to fit in with the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle.”

The source also reported that Adam disinvited his great-aunt Janet and her husband Eddie just days before the wedding, which they described as “completely unacceptable.”

It has also been reported that Adam’s aunt Louise texted him moments before he walked into Bath Abbey, however he never read it.

She reportedly wrote in her message: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.”
