Louisiana country singer and recent “American Idol” runner-up John Foster continues to rack up live show engagements in his home state and beyond.
Here are nine upcoming appearances for the Addis teen, who made his Grand Ole Opry debut on June 7, just three weeks after “Idol” wrapped its 23rd season:
Saturday, July 5: Paragon Casino Resort’s Mari Showroom, 711 Paragon Place, Marksville. Doors open at 7 p.m., show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $25.
*Note: Foster also will be grand marshal for the Avoyelles Parish city’s Fourth of July parade rolling at 10 a.m. along La. 1.
Wednesday, July 9: Grand Ole Opry, 2804 Opryland Drive, Nashville. Foster will be celebrating his 19th birthday at his second Opry show. The all-ages show starts at 7 p.m. and ticket range is $46-$272. Also scheduled to perform are Ashley Cooke, The Isaacs and Jonnie W.
Saturday, July 26: Marshland Festival, Lake Charles Event Center, 900 Lakeshore Drive. Foster shares the festival’s second-day bill with Brooks Drost, Louisiana Express with Johnnie Allan, Ryan Foret, Zach Edwards & The Medicine, Watersedge, Jamie Bergeron, Steelshot and Dillon Carmichael. $20.
Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1-2: The Texas Club, 134 N. Donmoor Ave., Baton Rouge. After selling out the Aug. 2 show in less than a day, the Friday show was added. Tickets are $137. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. Both nights also will feature Lauren Lee Band and Connor Martin. A special encore performance with Chase Tyler is planned for Friday.
Thursday, Aug. 21: Grand Ole Opry. 6 p.m., doors; 7 p.m., show; tickets, $46-$275. Also on the evening’s bill are Jamey Johnson, Deborah Allen and Moe Bandy. Bandy.
Friday, Aug. 29: Alley Fest Music Festival, Combs Airport, Paintsville, Kentucky. Foster takes the stage the same day as his former fellow “American Idol” finalist Slater Nalley. Friday tickets are $69, general admission; $350, VIP experience. The fest runs through Sunday.
