BELLE Hassan has spoken out for the first time about bullying accusations in the Love Island All Stars villa.

The reality star was criticised by some viewers for her behaviour towards Lucinda Strafford and Leanne Amaning during the series.

‘Hurricane Belle’ had Lucinda in her sights after she recoupled with her partner Sean Stone while Belle was in Villa USA.

The pair had numerous rows and Belle branded her rival’s emotional reactions a “PR stunt” and accused her of having “zero respect”.

Belle was then branded “hypocritical” and a “mean girl” for pursuing Scott van-der-Sluis the moment his and Leanne’s romance faltered.

Last night, Belle took to Instagram to reflect on her villa journey and thanked those who had stuck by her side.

She said: “Love Island was one of the wildest journeys of my life, beautiful highs and very dark lows. I hit breaking points, faced trauma triggers, and handled things the best way I could at the time.

“I’m not perfect, but I’m proud of the woman I am. It takes courage to stand in your truth and call out what you feel isn’t right.”

Echoing comments she made during the final, Belle reminded viewers they only saw a snapshot of what really happened in the villa.

“Context matters. Big reactions don’t happen without big reasons, and entertainment isn’t always the full story,” she said.

“Despite it all, I met beautiful souls and made memories I’ll treasure forever.

“I’ve always been told I’m a ‘love her or hate her’ personality… but the parts of me some don’t understand are the parts I love most.”

Belle continued: “I don’t always get it right and I’m definitely not a perfect person, but I lead with raw, real emotion and a pure heart and I’ll never hide that. If I’ve empowered even one person to stand in their truth and feel seen, that means everything to me.

“We are all different, we all carry different emotional trauma and no matter how you channel that you should feel validated.

“‘Hurricane belle’ is not only for the little girl inside of me that felt like she was never seen, heard and understood but for all of you that have felt you couldn’t stand up and speak your truth.
Your voices are powerful and your truth does matter!”

She signed off by thanking fans from the “bottom of my heart”.

Belle’s friends and fans rallied to support her.

Charlotte Dawson said: “You’re amazing.”

Show winner Ciaran Davies left blue love hearts, while Whitney Adebayo called her “my sister”.
