Luisa Zissman has been baking bread in her home amid the situation in the Middle East. Iranian air strikes began on the famous Palm Jumeirah this weekend and many Brits have been trapped in the Middle East.
Former The Apprentice star Luisa moved to Dubai months ago after saying the UK was too unsafe. She has been updating fans on her experiences there at present, amid the air strikes, which have caused devastation across the Middle East.
Sharing a snap of how the family were keeping busy – and safe – she said: “Home baked bread rolls. Keeping the kids entertained and indoors. We got itchy feet and went to take them to the park and literally as we went to step foot out the door we heard two massive explosions that shook the house, we retreated and then heard another two. So now movie time in the basement.

“So surreal and scary. I do faith that UAE defence will keep us all safe.” She also told her followers how she had made homemade buns and were preparing to have to sleep in the basement.
“Hey guys, we’re all still good her we have been inside all day, there’s been quite a few noises. We have made homemade buns, Indigo has made these. They are really soft,” she said, “She is also currently making homemade burgers. She loves cooking this one. So we are all holding up okay. We’re staying put and hoping this finishes soon.”
Luisa also showed photos of their set up in the basement and how they’ve set up some emergency bits including a dog pen and a blanket – and some water in her mini fridge.
Luisa had previously said she planned to move to Dubai as she felt safer there. Reposting something about other families deciding to move out of the UK and relocate abroad, she agreed, adding: “Yep unfortunately, very sad have always loved the UK but looking forward to not being cold & being able to walk alone at night safely.”
Luisa’s husband Andrew Collins had already relocated to Dubai for work, with Luisa later deciding to follow him. Along with two of her three children, the reality star decided to head for a new life in the UAE.
Her eldest daughter remained in the UK whilst she finished her studies at boarding school. Her horses made the huge move to the UAE though, with experts predicting it could have cost her a whopping £25,000 per animal.
“Bon voyage my babies have a safe flight – see you in the sunshine. I love you,” she wrote, before giving more details: “I have to say after all the stress of the build up, this was so easy, smooth and professional. Feel very happy and they will be well looked after.
“They will be taken by @flyequitrans to a quarantine centre where they will have to quarantine for 10 days. The first two days are total lockdown and then you can go and visit them. I have several people on the ground in Dubai who will be visiting them daily for me until I get to Dubai … I’ve managed to arrange via the friend who I booked the horses to travel with through, a vet to go and give them all a drip today to rehydrate them after travelling and make sure they’re okay and manage to deliver some food there.”
