On the evening of February 11, police responded to reports of a car crash involving three vehicles on Sheffield Road in West Yorkshire.

Cops arrived at the scene to find a silver Skoda Fabia had swerved off the road and collided with a wall.

Ashton was a passenger in the vehicle and was rushed to hospital.

Sadly, he died from his injuries two days later.

Three 19-year-old men were arrested at the time of the collision and have all been bailed pending further enquiries.

The man driving the silver Skoda was initially arrested on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed limit of drugs and causing serious injury through dangerous driving.

Another driver in a white Skoda Fabia was also arrested for the same offences.

And a third man, driving a blue BMW, was held on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving.

The Major Collision Enquiry Team are still appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have dash-cam footage to come forward.
