HORRIFIED Love Island fans have slammed ITV for being ‘cruel’ after a brutal recoupling twist.
Monday night saw a crucial pre-final recoupling take place around the iconic fire pit ahead of the final next week.

As the girls each chose who they wanted to be with, due to there being an odd amount of girls to boys, it was clear that one the hunks would lose his spot in the villa.
Sadly, it was poor Ethan Ellis who was left standing there knowing he was going home due to Priya’s connection with Aidan being stronger than her connection with him.
Fans rushed to social media to react to the brutal recoupling as Priya picked Aidan.
On X, one person said: “Nah, this recoupling is so pointless and just rude to Ethan. Just put the poor guy out of his misery and send him home. Bro’s gonna have to watch everyone else talk about how much they love each other just to get chucked looool. Rude.”

Ethan was the last male bombshell for this series when he arrived with Elicia on day 32.
He picked Jasmine, Martha and Priya to date during his first appearance on the ITV2 show.
His strongest connection was with Priya as he then entered a love triangle with her and Aidan.
He and Elicia were tasked with stealing a boy and girl from their respective couples and he decided to steal Priya.
But despite his best efforts, Priya revealed that she only had eyes for Aidan.
