Royal Bombshell: Thomas Markle’s Heartbreaking Reaction to Archie and Lilibet Meeting King Charles Leaves Everyone Speechless

Meghan Markle’s estranged father, who has never met his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, is likely to be “devastated” that King Charles has seen them this month, a royal expert has claimed. Last Friday (July 10) a reunion took place at Highgrove House between King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Their Majesties hosted the family-of-four at their private home, marking the first time they have seen the King’s grandchildren Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, since 2022. It is also the first time the King and Queen have seen Harry’s wife Meghan in four years. While little is known about the meeting, which was held in private, it is believed the aim was to allow the monarch to finally get to spend time with his grandchildren who are being raised in America.
While seeing them no doubt would have brought a smile to the King’s face, one royal expert believes Archie and Lilibet’s other grandfather would be “devastated” by the news.
This is because Meghan’s dad Thomas Markle has never even met his grandchildren, having been estranged from Meghan since 2018 after being found to have staged paparazzi photographs before she married Prince Harry.
It is believed Thomas, who was seriously ill just months ago, has always wanted a reconciliation with his daughter and a chance to meet his grandchildren.
Speaking exclusively to The Daily Express about this, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said: “It is a matter of record that Thomas Markle, Meghan’s father, participated in staged paparazzi photos before her wedding whilst still in Mexico, when he was expected to walk Meghan down the aisle. Then his health collapsed.”

Fitzwilliams continued: “A feud began between them which has never been healed despite him recently having his leg amputated. It is bizarre that he has never met Prince Harry, not even before their engagement and this has never been explained.
However, what is certain is that Meghan, who was largely brought up by her father who was once an award winning Hollywood lightning director, has never forgiven him.
“He has subsequently become a fierce critic of his daughter. She preaches positivity relentlessly, but clearly does not practice it.
“He is likely, since she will reportedly not see or be in contact with him, to feel devastated at the recent news (the King meeting Archie and Lilibet). The breach with Meghan is highly unlikely ever to be repaired.”
