A famous influencer and rapper, who was socially known as ‘Whyte Folkz’ died in a motorcycle accident on January 19, 2026. His death came as a shock to many of his fans. According to WREG, a motorcycle was spotted at the scene of the accident at the intersection of Saratoga Road and Millington Road, a small city in the Memphis metropolitan area. His manager confirmed that the sole victim of the accident was Whyte Folkz, whose real name is Jimmy McMahan.
Whyte Folkz’s last post was from the hospital
As fans and family of Whyte Folkz are mourning his demise, we stumbled upon his last Instagram post. The influencer-rapper had updated his social media a day ago. He posted a video with his face covered with a mask. It seemed to be from his hospital visit. Along with it, he had asked his fans to pray for him. He had written:
“Please pray for me.”

For the unversed, Whyte Folkz had a following over 1,20,000 on Instagram. He was known for his hit comedy videos. He would often share about his life in Memphis. His GoFundMe page was opened by his family members to raise money for his funeral. It stated that he was more than a brother, a son, a friend and a light to everyone who had known him. The post further revealed that he lived with passion and left a lasting impression on their lives. In a Facebook post, Whitey Folkz’s daughter-in-law, Tony, remembered the good days spent with him, and the memories they shared together. She wrote:
“To know my brother in law was an honor! Never a dull moment, my stomach and ribs would hurt for days after spending a day with him! His heart was so big no matter who you were. You will always be remembered for the true one. All the amazing memories with you will last forever! Jimmy Mcmahan @highlight. I will always know the real you the BoBo!!”

For the unversed, the news of Whitey Folkz circulated on social media, but there was no credible information, but after WREG, which is a a CBS-affiliated news station based in Memphis, confirmed his death, fans are sending their condolences to the family and praying for his soul.

Whyte Folkz’s father passed away the same way as him
Not many people know that Whyte Folkz’s biological father met with the same fate as his. In an old interview with a YouTube channel, Say Cheese, Whyte Folkz shared details about his personal life. He shared that when he was just 5-6 years old, his biological dad passed away in an accident. He was raised by his mom and stepfather and had 9 siblings.

It came as a shock as Whyte Folkz’s biological dad passed away in the same way as his. In the podcast, Whyte Folkz revealed that his father was riding a motorcycle when a drunk driver struck him from behind. If the reports are to be believed, Whyte Folkz also died in a motorcyle accident.
