Royal Surprise: Harry and Meghan’s Private Backstage Moment Finally Revealed in Newly Released Footage
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of their recent appearance at the David Foster Foundation gala in Canada.
Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan Markle, 45, attended the event celebrating 40 years of fundraising for music producer David Foster’s foundation, spanning two days on August 7 and 8.

The footage, shared on the Duchess of Sussex’s Instagram account and their official Archewell Sussex account, shows the couple walking past a large Scottish band who appear to be gathered back of stage.
Prince Harry stopped to greet individual members of the band, saying to one: “How are you doing? Alright?”

The royal couple then make their way to the official entrance at the event where they are officially greeted. Also attending the event, Foster’s wife, Katharine McPhee, Adam Levine and Josh Groban.
Harry and Meghan shared a message alongside a carousel of photos which read: “The @davidfosterfoundation is dedicated to providing financial support to Canadian families with children in need of life-saving organ transplants.
“In addition to helping families with their non-medical expenses, the Foundation strives to increase public awareness and education about the importance of becoming a registered organ donor in Canada and the United States.”
The David Foster Foundation also documented the evening on social media, sharing photos of Harry and Meghan attending the gala on its Instagram Stories.

McPhee spoke of their relationship with the royals in an interview with Access Hollywood in 2020, saying: “My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry. They’re like, they’re so cute. They’re like father and son.”

Marking the occasion on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex shared video showing her dancing in her kitchen before jumping into a swimming pool while holding a bunch of balloons.
“Thank you for the birthday love! 🎈,” she captioned the post.
