Shakira had been attending All Points East festival in London this weekend alongside her Love Island pal Toni Laites.
The pair took to social media to share a slew of pics from Victoria Park, with Shakira stunning in a purple ensemble and Toni in black shorts and a corset.
While the stars had been enjoying their time partying and dancing to the likes of Zara Larsson and Lorde, following the festival Shakira revealed she had suffered a nasty injury.
Taking to her Instagram, Shakira snapped a video of herself revealing the lump turning side to side to reveal the full extent.
She captioned the video: “home, showered and a bump on my head the size of saturn x
“source: unknown,” she added.
The video was met with concern from followers who flooded the TV stars’ DMs, with Shakira later posting a follow up video addressing fan fears.
She said: “This is why I don’t read my DMs because you’re all telling me I’m going to die now.”
The star went on to post a mirror pic alongside a bunch of crying face emojis, before revealing the cause of the mystery lump and putting any worry from fans to bed.
Shakira shared that she had discovered that the huge bump was in fact an insect bite which had swollen on her forehead.

“Guys update, it was an insect bite (laughing emojis),” she wrote.
Shakira is currently appearing on Celebrity MasterChef but her cooking skills have already landed her in hot water.
The Love Island star suffered a brutal verdict from judge Giorgio Locatell, who branded her rice a “disaster”.
The reality star prepared a dish inspired by one of her dad’s recipe, but even she described the result as “diabolical”.
Shakira’s signature dish was her dad’s chicken curry served with mixed-spice-infused brown rice.
Initially, the judges had mixed feelings about Shakira’s creation, with new judge Giorgio complimenting its flavour.
He said: “The chicken is a little bit dry. It should be a bit more melt-in-the-mouth.”
After then complimenting the spices and her presentation his review quickly took a turn when he moved on to the rice.
Giorgio cut into the cake-like mound as a visibly mortified Shakira awaited his verdict.
“The rice is a disaster,” he said.
Shakira replied: “I actually thought I undercooked it!”
